History is full of stories and actual situations from which we can learn a lot. Some are famous, others are known to only a few. But regardless, such stories and events can teach us lessons that can be applied many years later and in different aspects of life.
Many authors of books and articles always emphasize that having a vision is very important. That is the case regardless if we are talking about a company, product or even personal development.
Drift to low performance is one such trap when by allowing standards to be influenced by past performance, especially when past performance is perceived as bad, sets up a reinforcing feedback loop of eroding goals that set a system drifting toward low performance.
